Sometimes you just have to work out the details later. This is a rough draft to help me get the words out of my head. Later it will be edited, more color will be added in detail. Any feedback would be appreciated!

CHAPTER 2

During their third year of sharing quarters Liz met Bill and fell madly, insanely in love. They’d met on campus during finals week. Liz had been pouring over her notes in a corner of the nearly deserted cafeteria. She was completely and utterly absorbed trying in vain to finish an assignment that could make or break her grade.

Bill, also a third year student, was trying to finish one of his last assignments as well but could not seem to concentrate on the task at hand. Instead he sat there mesmerized by the beautiful red head sitting across the room from him. It took him nearly an hour to get up the nerve to go over and introduce himself.

“Is this seat taken?” he said waiting for her to look up.

Liz looked up from her book and her heart skipped a beat when their eyes met.

“Ah…no, it’s not.” She said smiling because she knew the place was nearly empty.

“Hi, I’m Bill,” he said extending his hand out to shake hers.

“Liz,” she said. She couldn’t help but noticing how soft and warm his hand felt in hers.

“What are you working on?” he asked.

“My last story,” she said. “Photojournalism.”

“Nice,” he said, “Architecture.”

“That’s impressive,” she said.

“I couldn’t help notice you from across the room,” he said, “you’ve been at it for quite a while. Do you ever stop to eat?”

“That’s been known to happen from time to time,” she said smiling at him. “I’m just under the gun today.”

“Ah, yes, I know that feeling, however, you’d probably feel a lot better with a full stomach,” he said, “would you like to have a quick lunch, fuel up the brain a little?”

She looked down at the pile of books in front of her hoping her brain would follow her hearts lead. It took her about two seconds to agree.

They talked about school and where they’d come from and what their aspirations were. He was easy to talk to and Liz found herself very attracted to him.

He was tall and a tad on the thin side, and he was movie star handsome yet still full of his own personal character that set him miles apart from the pack. His eyes were the color of green emeralds, which set against the olive tone of his skin, made them look like jewels. When he spoke she couldn’t help notice his perfect teeth. He had been either extremely lucky or had paid a fortune for orthodontics growing up. His lips made her want to stand up right then and there and kiss him, to feel them against hers. She knew they’d be soft and warm, and more than anything, they would send a shiver throughout her whole body.

The attraction between them had been instant, the relationship blossomed, and they could not stand to be apart for even a minute. From the moment they met they were together twenty-four hours a day. They studied together, ate together, and explored the city together like two kids let loose in a candy store. It wasn’t long before their love affair moved to marriage and they bought their own loft.
